WCEC SOUTH WI SHOW

There are very few shows held in this certain part of the state, and it was a good refresher. The WCEC Southern WI show was held in Janesville, Wisconsin. The conditions for the show couldn’t have been better. It was a comfortable 75 degrees all day, and had plenty of cloud cover and sunlight to make any photographer happy. The drive down was beautiful; All back-roads through the small hills of southern Wisconsin. When I got to the show, I met up with Alex and we went around the show videoing and taking photos.

UNITED PROJECTS – End of Summer Show

Oh, how good it feels to have a meet at Miller Park again. The United Projects End of Summer Meet was held early on a Sunday morning. I had just come off a dual photoshoot a few miles down the road from the show. At the time I arrived, there was already a substantial amount of cars already lined up inside the lot. It was good to see out of state cars showing up for an added bit of freshness.

TOP SHELF 2016

The next installment of the Top Shelf meet was not held in the usual spot in downtown Appleton, Wisconsin. Instead, this time it was held at an airstrip outside of town. Airstrip meets are always a cool venue and aren’t used often in the local scene. I went up early before the show with a few friends to get ready for the meet.

Introduction by Andrew: This past weekend had two awesome shows in the Milwaukee area. Brandon was down in Kentucky for Import Alliance, and I was booked with Family plans, so I used it as the perfect opportunity to get two more guest contributors some articles on the website. I put up a Facebook post, and within an hour or two had over a dozen people reach out to me asking to contribute. I wish I could have had everyone help out, but I was only able to have two people. I want to first thank everyone who reached out, your support and willingness to contribute is amazing. It’s all of you guys who make this possible. Next I want to thank both Nick and Matthew for providing the stories and the photos. Their willingness to help out is what you see below. Check out the below for Matthew’s coverage of the 2016 Capture the Culture show, hosted by Jay Baum!

THE WEATHERTECH® INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE WITH BRIAN REDMAN PRESENTED BY HAWK (VINTAGE CARS)

Words and Photos by: Andrew Smith

Last year I went to Road America for the VSCDA Vintage Festival. I remember seeing photos from some of the most amazing vintage cars belting around the track and rolling through the small town of Elkhart Lake. While the VSCDA event was still a blast and I got some awesome shots, it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. After doing some research and talking with a few people, I found out that the vintage weekend you wanted to go to was the Brian Redman weekend. So this past winter, we checked the schedule and put the WeatherTech International Challenge on the calendar. As the weekend approached, I was excited to see what kind of cars ended up in town throughout the weekend.
